I replied to a friend’s post regarding humanity (humanitarian first).

These are some additional pragmatic ideas; my thoughts, thinking, and feeling on mental health continuum and prevention, no age barrier over 18, poverty, and homelessness. With discussion we can innovate to build and grow this:

Health Social Responsibility, Social Action, Social Justice:
1. Create a talent/employment pool for people who are higher functioning that have a health diagnosis i.e. mental health, diabetes, cancer, or other to work whenever they can in their field of study, experience, or choice not when the talent pool/employer wants them to work virtually, remote, on-site, in person in defined learning/work sessions of varying skill and time duration living more next level of success/rehabilitation health, wellness, and economic mobility to gain as much independence as possible with their fluid treatment team. This doesn’t mean someone does the good value intelligent work for them that is easy, a challenge or struggle for them. It means they work thru the good value intelligent work with the right coordination, communication, connectivity, and involvement to help and support them to learn the skill(s) required (necessary) succeeding in their next level of living more health, wellness, and economic mobility. Talent pool/employers benefit with the delivery of good value intelligent work and having a role in making a person successful.

Three Ways to Build & Grow Team Chemistry

Whether you are on a team that’s been together for years, worked and played together for a season, recruiting to make new family friends/teammates to join your team, or forming a team, I listen to a coach’s concern in a discussion when they say “I hope they get along” and talk about personalities.  Here’s how to win sustainable better outcomes? 

1. Meet individually and collectively to learn about each other at our own pace

Depending on the purpose there are several customized activities to make this effective and efficient in a specific amount of time at a meet and greet, to learn a specific skill, for relaxation during the week and before a big game, funny during the week or before a big game, to celebrate, just to have a good time, or to help them succeed as a team individually and collectively.

What’s your performance & productive process?

This could be as easy as having a one on one lunch together so that when you work and play together it’s easier for you to learn, know, feel, see, listen, and use your intuitive instincts.  Although what we are achieving and accomplishing together is important, there are other aspects of life that are also important you might know of or have a resource to support and help your teammate.  It has nothing to do with their technical, clinical, and tactical skills and ability to play soccer, basketball, tennis, table tennis, football, baseball, volleyball, or any other sport.  However, it does effect their productive performance process when they work and play together.   

Another example is when an educator at a hospital system would have refreshments, punch, and play games so we could learn about each other and team relaxation during the week before we trained and evaluated medical students and health professionals with the hands-on education and skills necessary to foster more humanistic, patient-centered care.

2. Learn specific skills from each other

Sometime people hoard skill and knowledge to ostensibly make themself of more value.  This hinders the organization’s teams’ and the individual’s achievement and accomplishments. It’s exciting to be able to add a skill to make your teammate better to make your team better. 

An example, Magic Johnson learned the hook shot from Kareem Abdul Jabbar and used it against the Boston Celtics in game four of the 1987 NBA Finals.

3. Learn to work and play together

Consistently 1. Meet individually and collectively to learn about each other at our own pace and 2. Learn specific skills from each other to work and play together.

I’ve had several. During the holidays, to celebrate Christmas, and the New Year I put up the decorations and select the cards to send specific family.  I don’t delegate this to someone.  It fulfills and enriches me and having family time with my sisters family from Atlanta, GA and Portland, OR, building family team chemistry, and seeing my niece and nephews grow is “wow”.  We threw the football, played spoons, hung out, went to Top Golf, played tennis, saw Star Wars (stupid movie!, God created light, therefore, there is no darkness (dark side), I did like people came, and the guys were in Greenville so we played basketball (unexpected success in my workbook).  I attended a New Year’s Day party for a few hours and went to a business drop in to meet my boss’ family and make family friends.

Your Mentality: What Makes Easier Peaceful Better Outcomes?

What makes easier peaceful better outcomes?  There’s no time to think.  Talk to yourself (voice mind, self talk, not out loud) the whole day.  We also talk out loud to another and others.  If you are talking to yourself in a better way today than yesterday you are better today than yesterday.  This can be talking to yourself about something you are accomplishing or something you are helping someone accomplish.

Examples:

  1.  This blog post was inspired and motivated to make easier peaceful better outcomes for you to support my work.  Thank you for doing so.  If you are new to my website, there are Free Resources for you to do your research and preparation before contacting me.  Or, if you prefer to have a conversation first then contact me.
  2.  Yesterday, I was at a strength and conditioning session and as I was doing an exercise intrusive thoughts occurred, however, I talked to myself saying “count it”, “1, 2, 3, …” (number of quality repetitions), “proud heart” and finished faster than I started.
  3. My mom is rehabilitating from a stroke.  I am helping her read out loud in English a book, What Is Electrical Communication? to make it easier for her cognition and comprehension.  My expertise isn’t in rehabilitating stroke patients, however, I know it’s working.  It effects her neuroplasticity, electrophysiology, makes chemical reactions, activates her conscious prefrontal cortex, creates myelin sheath, and she’s learning about something new to her.  This is succeeding to the next level of success the right way for her and I. We repeat the page three times with me telling her to take deep breaths, lower her heart rate, and ask her is it easier between each set?  This is producing benefits such as more vocal clarity, tone of voice, expanding her vocabulary, we pray, hope, live more dreams, goals, mission, and destiny to make easier peaceful better outcomes for her to walk.

I’ve had several. It was beautiful to see my soccer family friends/teammates transition onto defense marking a man instead of just running back and control the center of the pitch in the first and second third.  After that we scored four goals in ten minutes not ninety.

Helping USA Mens & Womens World Cup Soccer

In the USA men’s match versus Venezuela and the Women’s World Cup match versus Spain the good goal keepers made elementary mistakes.  Then last night in the USA Men’s match versus Panama the goalie made less of a mistake and since a goal wasn’t scored against the USA no one commented or they didn’t see it as less of a mistake.

To create and experience human performance and life development and breakthroughs after one session with each goal keeper I would know what are the next step(s).  It’s easy to say the goal keepers know not to do that and say it was poor (not so good showing), change players, and inexperience led to the mistakes.  However, in helping and working with athletes in my private confidential session(s) the reason for the mistakes could be more than technical ability and tactical correction.  It would be inappropriate to guess because it could take more than one session to correct.  If this is needed it has to do with discovering and removing mental, emotional, and physical blocks using my human mental performance skills and then strengthening on the pitch with one session.

However, if it is a technical and tactical issue only then looking at the pictures we see the goalies need to be equipped with performance ques.

Performance Ques: 

  1. If there is one teammate to pass to within distance then the pass is allowed if no opponent is past midfield.
  2. If an opponent is past mid field, and there are two teammates to pass to a pass can be made because the teammate can pass to another teammate to ward off the defender.

However, as you can see in the pictures this wasn’t so, therefore, the goalie need not make the pass.  

Something similar happened in the men’s match versus Panama last night and the teammate’s only option was to quickly kick the ball up field resulting in a turnover.  The goalie could have done better kicking it up field because he had time to read who to play the ball to.

USA men and women are making rewarding progress towards winning the World Cup.  Play soccer the right way for it to happen sooner.

USA men’s soccer is 3-0 in group D in the Gold Cup and the USA women’s soccer plays tomorrow against France in the World Cup.  I’m looking forward to USA men’s soccer playing in the 2022 World Cup.

It’s Backwards; Create Value Add

“When there is value add it becomes easier” – Raj Gavurla

  

Sometime people say things without thinking of the situation, the person they are talking to, their environment, and who is present.  If this happens instead of internalizing giving them the benefit of the doubt use rational critical thinking to do value add.  Both create and receive shared success.

Examples:

1. “Help yourself”  This is backwards.  I’ve heard people say whether directly or about someone they don’t help themselves.  This is similar to giving someone a ten minute silent lunch which the student I mentor received from his teacher because he wasn’t paying attention.  He’s learning and depending on the subject or what we are discussing his attention grows or wanes.  So the answer is to talk about things that keep his attention.  No, because what he’s learning is important and value add to his development, growth, and future.

Applying my expertise in human performance, life, and organizational development and breakthroughs, reality is he wasn’t taught how to pay attention.  Attention is a human performance skill people are challenged with regardless of age, title, or occupation(s).  One of the most prevalent reasons attention is challenging is they have no link(s) in their mind to what they are learning so it can be synthesized and stored into long term memory.

Getting back to “help yourself”.  It’s an oxymoron.  When you help you help someone not yourself.  Yet, some people say this without rational critical thinking and I sometime say it although very rare.

2.  “Hard work” or “Work hard”.  If something is too hard or hard, something is wrong.  It’s “diligent work” or “work diligently”.

Googling the word “diligent” it means:

3.  This notion you aren’t good and have to prove yourself is lunacy.  It’s a bromide.  Your coming from a place of negativity to a place of positive.  Some people call this motivational.  I don’t.  It’s reinforcing a pattern anyone can do without.  You have gifts, talents, and skills. I start with inspiration then motivation to create and achieve value add.  In whatever I do, most important to me is you apply the learning exactly as is and/or using your rational critical thinking achieve more success in all walks of life as applicable and appropriate.
 
4.  Stop telling someone else, yourself, or let someone say you “failed” or rate your performance as “fail”.  It’s insipid  to denigrate and degrade yourself or another person.  Use the words “not so good”.   It’s value add.  This is prevalent in all walks of life including schools and businesses.  Think about it.  Why put someone in a detrimental state of being after they are already disappointed?  Do you want to make it worse?  It’s irrational critical thinking.  Rational critical thinking is the use of the words “not so good”.  This is very powerful and I’ve seen people use it in life, health, business, sports, and more.  When using my daily workbook, the lowest rating of your day is “not so good”.  It’s much easier to come from a place of inspiration and not a place of negativity.  Never know, think, or feel you failed.  Value add is “not so good”.
 
5.  Someone shows you something they worked on, created, a service, product, or say something you’ve never heard of and your response, “what the hell is that”.  Hell is never for the greater good.  Using this word puts both people in a detrimental state of being.  It creates a visceral reaction.  We don’t do that here.  There is a much greater way.  When you talk with someone, share with them, or are in a relationship with a person,  an entity, or object (think of your favorite gift).  It’s either going in a value add direction or negative direction.  It’s never in a neutral place.
 
6.  Here’s an example of value add.  Someone’s advice is “repetitions”.  You’ve heard this from so many people.  How many repetitions have you done?  Do more and you’ll improve, be better, or the best.  That’s like saying if you do this this and that you’ll be “insert your dream or goal”.  Then, those who have this dream or goal would do so.  However, it’s not that simple.  I’ve heard the word “repetitions” in healthcare, in the business of speaking, from world class athletes, and many people in all walks of life achieving if “I do x amount of repetitions” I’ll be able to.  Repetitions has a plateau.  When you reach the plateau repetitions has a diminishing effect.  What’s the solution?  “quality repetitions”
 
“Quality repetitions” makes you not reach a plateau as there is much further for you to go and your outlook on achieving more success is worth looking forward to.  Apply the learning and implement the use of “quality repetitions” to become more skillful and grow your skills.  It’s value add.

How do you make time a non-factor?  Impossible, no.  Here’s how:  Whether at work, watching t.v., attending an event, learning, or hanging out know how much time is allotted. By doing this you free your mind’s capacity.  Include the right research, right preparation, the actual event, and the time to synthesize your thoughts about the event and do  your next value add.  Doing it this way has tremendous value add.  It’s easier for you to apply the learning, remember the event, create value add, and achieve more success in all walks of life.

Examples: 

1.  20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1hr, 1.5 hr. keynote

2.  Attending an event (i.e. 2 hours, 1/2 day, full day, 2 days, 3 days, etc.)

3.  Watching sports or a movie on t.v.

4.  Reading or studying

5.  Attending a soccer match

6.  Hanging out with family and/or friends

Remember, do the right research and right preparation to receive much more from what you do in all walks of life.

“I Wish That Didn’t Happen.”

“Innovate Families, Businesses, Communities, and Schools:  It’s about individuals and their people having a better life, better living, and better future.” – Affectionately Endless

  

Sometime people say, “I want to grow as a person or be a better person”, “that happens to people”, “we all have to go”, or “they don’t know what to say”, etc.

Here are nine scenarios to help you and show them you are growing as a person: 

  1.  Someone tells you someone passed away.  Say, “I wish that didn’t happen.”
  2.  Someone says someone is sick (has an illness), Say, “I wish that didn’t happen.”
  3.  Someone’s loved one committed suicide.  Say, “I wish that didn’t happen.”
  4.  A colleague has a passing in their family.  Say, “I wish that didn’t happen.”
  5.  Someone is rehabilitating from a stroke or another condition, experiencing social isolation because of immobility (although caregivers are helping).  All the things and money in the world can’t replace your presence, fulfillment, and the effect you have on a rehabilitating person and more importantly the effect the person has on you.  It is an essential part of you growing as a person and their treatment from social isolation.  Are you only there in good times?  Or, are you able to cherish their presence in this world.  For both you see life is amazing and we have to find ways to grow life, a better living, and a better future.  If they ask why did this happen?, Say, “I wish that didn’t happen.”
  6. You don’t have the right support system.  Say, “I wish that didn’t happen.”
  7. The doctor and health care professional doesn’t know how to intrinsically inspire and motivate you.  They say you aren’t getting better because “you don’t want to”.  Say, “I wish that didn’t happen”.
  8. A colleague isn’t performing or your kid isn’t performing because you think, “they don’t want to.”  That’s not being a colleague (teammate) or parent.  Say, “I wish that didn’t happen.”
  9. If your calendar doesn’t allow for this essential aspect of growing as a person, I say, “I wish that didn’t happen.”

Instead, what I hear is silence.  You mean well.  You might have said a silent prayer.  However, using the sentence, “I wish that didn’t happen.” creates a robust consciously conscious being state so you are involved with breakthroughs, advancements, and their records to mobility and independence.  You’ll experience life growth and sensations beyond anything you can describe, buy, or implement into your life.  “I wish that happened more often.”

See, you like me at one time think everything is setup to thrive.  I’m here to tell you you’ve created and live in an incubator and it’s precisely your ability to expand out into people’s lives that connects you to grow your life, a better living, and better future.  You might be inspired and motivated to create a solution.  That’s innovating families, businesses, communities, and schools.  This is a meaningful, interesting, and intelligent way to grow as a person.

My “The Zone” & “The Zone Effect”

My IT Band was injured so I reduced the intensity of my workout sessions and took some time off.  I’ve been using my foam roller and the dipping bird exercise and an exercise I learned while pursuing semi-pro basketball.  The basketball exercise gave me immediate patella tendinitis homeostasis after refereeing World Cup (it’s their World Cup) adult league coed and mens matches.

The point is I applied learning from years ago to help me heal this injury using an exercise that for me has multi-purposes.  Me and my exercise functional physiology trainer have been working on this.  She’ll like me talking to her about this.

Apply The Relationship of Your Inspiration & Motivation

Growing your productive performance process is essential because it allows you to achieve development, breakthroughs, and records towards your greatest dreams and goals – they become greater.   When helping my client they either have motivation or want and need motivation.  I tell them to talk about it.  We do so in our session.  I ask why haven’t you said anything about your inspiration?   The silence or response is highly individual.

Your intrinsic inspiration creates greater intrinsic and extrinsic inspiration rewards.  Your intrinsic motivation creates greater intrinsic and extrinsic motivation rewards.  When you apply the relationship of your inspiration and motivation they have an inseparable relationship.  Your intrinsic inspiration and motivation creates greater intrinsic and extrinsic rewards.

Your intrinsic inspiration and motivation is highly individualized.  During my client’s sessions, I help and work with them to understand why the relationship of their inspiration and motivation creates greater intrinsic and extrinsic rewards.

When I’m performing my goal is being “in the zone” more often.  When I am, my teammates are “in the zone” and each has “the zone effect” development, breakthroughs, and records.  When the team talks about it it’s a fun relationships and learning experience.

This is important.  Only be “in the zone” when performing.  During your sessions of rest, relaxation, social outlets, and hobbies have fun and enjoyment.  Be your authentic self so you don’t have to be someone else.  It’s invigorating!
