You (The Person) Are Your Greatest Technology

“Take Care of Your Mind.  It’s The Only Place You Live.”

– Raj Gavurla

Your interconnected mind, body, heart, spirit, and soul is much greater technology than the sports watch you buy. If you don’t have one of these, then the ones you do have is much greater technology.  I’m inclusive.  I accept the person the way they are.

Buy a sports watch so you don’t think about time, distance, number of steps, heart rate, fatigue, cadence, ECG, sleep, too much sitting, calories, active time, max speed, average speed, etc. interconnected with your life, business, and your exercise (sports, yoga, hiking, walk, etc.).

You experience more effective and efficient workouts when you let the watch handle this. With the interconnected greater technology of your mind, body, heart, spirit, and soul you feel and experience “the zone” and “the zone effect” development, breakthroughs, and records.

“The Zone” (Individual) & “The Zone Effect” (Team):  For example, the “selfless” quality means they have, need, and want “the zone” for them self, each of their teammates and they have, need, and want “the zone effect” for their team living their respective greatest dreams and goals.

Your Development, Breakthroughs, and Records

“You are “The Zone” Performer, an Elite Performer, High Performer, Good Performer, or new to human performance and life. Performers grow their inner voice mind to create development, performance improvements, breakthroughs, and set personal best records.  You are growing as a person, interconnected with your life, business, and sport(s).  Your “The Zone Effect” Development, Breakthroughs, & Records.” – Raj Gavurla

Your Inner Voice Mind (listen to your body, what you learn, see, feel, hear, smell, taste, intuition, heart, spirit, soul)

To experience performance improvements, breakthroughs, and records grow your inner voice mind.  What are ways to do so in a fulfilling, easier, fun, and enjoyable way?

  1.  What do you program into you?  Are you watching, listening to, and reading inspiring, motivating, and success into you?  Or, are you watching, listening to, and reading depressing and sad inputs into you.  One grows you as a person and the other doesn’t.
  2. Your self-talk (grow your inner voice mind).  It’s natural when striving for performance improvements, breakthroughs, and records to regulate stress, pressure, fear, anxiety, intensity, effort, and energy.  Since you have an inner voice mind (if you asked what inner voice mind, that inner voice mind), one way to regulate stress, pressure, fear, anxiety, intensity, effort, and energy is with your inner voice mind.  It’s your subtle inner voice mind.
  3. With you inner voice mind (conscious real time) listen to your body.  With your inner voice mind on a scale from 0 to 10 (highest) the numbers specific to you regulate stress/tension (cortisol, adrenals), pressure, fear (amygdala), depressed (past, serotonin), anxiety (future), concentration/focus (see, visualize), intensity, effort, reward (dopamine), energy (flow), and endorphins (flow).

Example (working on your project, attending a meeting, or preparing for a sporting event):

  1. If stress/tension is a 7 lower it to a 1, if pressure is a 5 lower it to a 1, if fear is a 6 lower it to a 1, if anxiety is a 6 lower it to a 1.
  2. If concentration/focus is a 0 raise it to the right number for you, if intensity is a 0 raise it to the right number for you, if effort is a 0 raise it to the right number for you, if reward is a 0 raise it to the right number for you, if energy is a 0 raise it to the right number for you, and if endorphins are a 0 raise it to the right number for you.

Your inner voice mind is a practical skill for you to use.  Before doing anything whether at work, sports, and life use your inner voice mind to listen to your body to set your performance improvements, breakthroughs, and records being in your optimal performance being state.   Then, since you already know the performance improvements, breakthroughs, and records (that’s done).  Now concentrate/focus on performing in real time.  You’ve optimized your mind’s resources to help you achieve the best.  During your recovery is when you strengthen yourself.  This is when you grow your inner voice mind listening to your body for relaxation, spending time with your family, friends, hobbies, and leisure.

The absence of stress/tension, pressure, fear, and anxiety and the right number concentration/focus, intensity, effort, reward, energy, and endorphins for you is “The Zone” & “The Zone Effect”.

“The Zone” (Individual) & “The Zone Effect” (Organization/Team/Teammates) Continuum:

“The Zone” & “The Zone Effect” is described as making performance improvements, breakthroughs, records, everything is in slow motion (everything slows down), time stands still (isn’t a deterring factor), and your life and performance feels effortless.  Neither is repeatable.  You are growing as a person, congruent, in connection with your life, business/work, and sport(s); Your “The Zone Effect” Development, Breakthroughs, and Records.

My “The Zone” & “The Zone Effect”

My mom made a breakthrough and set a record for the length of time she balancing on her own.  She is recovering from a stroke.  I want her to use her abs and obliques to balance and grow her inner voice mind to overcome come the fear (amygdala) of losing balance.  This success is strengthening her mind/body (mind, heart, body, spirit, and soul).  We are building on her success.

I’ve updated my website to make it easier to communicate my value for clients and the marketplace.

Positive Emotional Energy Release: Emotional Arousal Fun & Enjoyment

“Performance improvement and breakthroughs feel good.  You are growing as a person.”
– Raj Gavurla

Someone posed the questions do you teach in the workplace and when playing sports the use of positive emotional energy release: emotional arousal fun & enjoyment? How can suppressing positive emotional energy with no out let actually be negative to a teammate’s (colleague/client) performance?

Throughout my business career, I’ve observed, helped, and worked with individuals and teammates (colleagues & clients). Bosses and supervisors your employees do dream, need, and want to perform more success continuum for their organization, bosses, supervisors, and teammates (colleagues & clients). Since at the time I wasn’t an excelling expert in human performance, life, organizational development & breakthroughs, I didn’t know why, how, critical thinking performance que, see slow motion (everything slows down), and feel performance que power and control to apply the learning for ourselves.

Some experiences I apply today from the workplace are:

My first professional job I was selected to interview and the job was taken. Because the interviewer, Max Bunner, liked my communication skills he recommended me for another job opening at the organization in Crystal City, VA. During on boarding, I met several people including two who said, Max was very complementary about my communication skills. This is the most important skill a person makes development and breakthroughs in is their ability to learn to communicate with people’s unique and different backgrounds, culture, dreams, goals, experiences, and skill sets.

At this job I would eat lunch often with a teammate (colleague) outside sometime from a gyro cart. As we ate, talked, and watched people, I finished eating much sooner than Curtis. I was a fast eater. It amazed me how Curtis finished eating in an hour. Today, when I eat I think of two people. Curtis, so I enjoy my food and conversation more and my trainer, Ron. I think of Ron because of no fried foods and drink slowly.

At another job, I would be working and an explosion with expletives came from the person sitting in a cubicle opposite of me to release stress. He was a DCS application engineer and I never asked him about his tirade. Nothing flew and it wasn’t against anyone it was his way of releasing stress when working with technology. He was a high performer who I did learn from and was much further than me in career progression. Today, I would talk to him about it. If he saw someone’s kid visiting our office, he would never explode.  Every time I shut down a computer I wait one minute before powering it up because of a former colleague (teammate) named Chris.  It reduces the number of computer crashes.

In athletics, we see examples to learn from. In every sport athletes use positive emotional energy release: emotional arousal fun & enjoyment. Who are the players to learn from in your favorite sports?

Some players like Bjorn Borg and Naomi Osaka, use very little. However, both Borg and Osaka do so with their body language and eyes. Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams use more and Roger Federer implemented the use of more in his career progression.

Not using positive emotional energy release: emotional arousal fun & enjoyment takes away fulfillment, teammates (colleagues/clients) and athletes ability to perform more success continuum to Better “The Zone Effect”, fun, and enjoyment.

How do you know how to use positive emotional energy release: emotional arousal fun & enjoyment, right body language, with or without sound effects, and with or without the right words to release emotional energy and endorphins to release stress, tension, and anxiety?  It depends on the individual teammates (colleagues/clients) and athletes needs and wants.

By using positive emotional energy release: emotional arousal fun & enjoyment you create an electro-chemical reaction to feel quicker (electro-physiology) and stronger (chemical bond).

When used the right way it creates calmness, relaxation, concentration, confidence, resiliency, and social cohesion. As an excelling human performance, life, and organizational development and breakthroughs expert, here’s my advanced human performance tool to Better “The Zone Effect” for you to better yourself for win better outcomes continuum = more success continuum; more win comes to us (teammates/clients) gift for others. .

Apply the learning.

Why Do You Quit?

“Reward people more frequently instead of using incentives that don’t create solutions for better outcomes continuum and are all or nothing.” – Raj Gavurla

High Value Capital Rewarding

Examples of rewarding people more frequently:

  1.  When you have a good job and are paid with incentives for better outcomes continuum and you receive an unexpected package for doing your job well.  It’s a letter with a significant contribution award, and a check (insert the dollar amount), it’s a letter with an outstanding achievement award, and a check (insert the dollar amount), it’s a promotion, it’s more responsibility with relationship capital with better pay and incentives.
  2. It’s additional education/learning/training to work on and working on an innovative project to help your organization and teammates to make breakthroughs is your life and career.
  3. It’s sharing appropriately with your colleagues (teammates) to create better teamwork and learn how to be better colleagues (teammates).
  4. It’s being promoted.
  5. It’s being flexible to understand your colleague (teammate) needs flex time and rearrangement of work to take care of a family member.
  6. It’s learning how to better yourself to better your boss, colleagues (teammates).
  7. Insert your examples.  Do your employees know this exists in your organization?
  8. It’s not all or nothing incentives and it’s not fear of punishment.  Neither is inspiring and motivating.
  9. It’s some win more, each wins, and no one loses unless there is violence.

Examples of using rewards and incentives for better outcomes continuum:

  1. A 401k plan incrementally and fully vested after five years.
  2. Paying for support services in human performance, life, and organizational development and breakthroughs to help and work together to make breakthroughs in nurturing, developing, building, growing, and evolving your organization.
  3. It’s learning why, how, and what to do to innovate for a cultural and entrepreneurial leadership ecosystem continuum.
  4. Making personnel decisions
  5. Voting rights on the direction of the organization
  6. Employee stock purchase plan.
  7. Options incrementally increasing and maturing with service.
  8. Percentage of company ownership.
  9. It’s using diversity and inclusive for more strategic effectiveness and systemic efficiencies.
  10. It’s having business and corporate social responsibility in the workplace and being a corporate community citizen so there is no poverty.

Why do you quit?

Why do you quit?  At this stage in your life and career live your greatest dreams, mission, vision, clear goals, and aspirations – they become greater by helping others (people) live their greatest dreams, mission, vision, clear goals, and aspirations – they become greater.  Living purposefully is essential and quitting is usually attributed to “you (or they) don’t want to.” This is superficial. As an excelling expert in human performance, life, and organizational development and breakthroughs, there are three primary reasons why you quit.

One, you’re not making performance improvement and breakthroughs. To make performance improvement and breakthroughs one needs breakthroughs in learning to nurture, develop, build, grow, evolve, and make breakthroughs in each.  What are your examples?  It’s simple and measure able.  If it’s hard, something is wrong.  With my mental performance skills and life tools I make breakthroughs. See my Seven Steps: Live Your Greatest Dreams, Mission, Vision, Clear Goals, and Aspirations – They Become Greater at the end of my post.

Two, you’re hurt (injured) physically and/or mentally. Having the right treatment and the right support services makes it easier.

Three, you do not have the right resources to nurture, develop, build, grow, evolve, and make breakthroughs in each. This includes high value financial, health, and relationships.

Here are my seven steps to help you experience breakthroughs in learning to nurture, develop, build, grow, evolve, and make breakthroughs so you don’t quit.

Better “The Zone Effect”

When you endlessly learn knowing how to be a better colleague (teammate) your job (work) is much more rewarding and fun.  Most places are trying to out do one another instead of consistently becoming better colleagues (teammates).  When you are able to consistently bring out the gifts, talents, and skills in you and your colleagues (teammates) with the right learning and support services you Better “The Zone Effect”.  Many are familiar with “The Zone” however since you are not on this planet by yourself Better “The Zone Effect” is to better you, your teammates, team, and supervisor(s) and boss(es) for more win more fun rewarding.  Why not have everyone participating and making individual, colleagues (teammates), team, and organization development and breakthroughs?

Think of a project where this occurred.  How can you nurture, develop, build, grow, and evolve making performance improvements and breakthroughs so this consistently occurs?  I’ve been on many teams and this is what determines the amount of success and rewards.

When playing basketball what inspires and motivates me are being on the court with my teammates.  We help and support each other and it’s a feeling I can’t fully describe.  Yes, I play basketball to Better “The Zone Effect”.    Besides playing for my teammates, I’m also playing for my coaches, fans, city, and my crowd (advanced mental performance skill) .

Describe An Experience, Situation, Or Sports Using Better Words & Better Language Instead of Violent Words & Language

“Win fun enjoy living a robust life making lives better to set personal best records experiencing intelligent breakthroughs in human performance, life, organizational development & breakthroughs.  That means some win more, each wins, and no one loses unless there is violence.” – Raj Gavurla

Seeing the violence occurring locally, nationally, and throughout the world, what can be done to bring civility? Why are people verbally attacking each other maliciously, denigrating, and degrading them self or another person?

This doesn’t honor the human dignity people need to help and work together to forward, elevate, and thrive humanity individually and collectively to raise the standard of living making people a better life, better living, and better future.

The English language is a lexicon of robust words of vibrancy and comity. How come more people don’t use them instead of violent words to describe non-violent experiences, situations, and sporting events? From the early days one can think we’ve come a long way from having to literally fight to survive and eat daily. Therefore, using violent words instead of killing was the next level of success. Hence, the fight/flight response. Important to know there are more responses bringing an abundance of sharing and connection. How about the sharing with each other without putting each other on the defensive response, the only win fun better common outcomes response, or the make lives better response, prevent deaths response, and save lives response?

With this sharing, connection, and building relationships with good communication more is learned and apply the learning. What are examples:

  1. Someone says “we, they, you or I killed them” or “I killed him or her.” when referring to an experience, situation, or sporting event. Really, who was killed? Thankfully, no one.
  2. In business or on a team people dismissing an idea or someone’s input saying, “you don’t know anything” or taking something a colleague said out of context and having a “grudge” against them instead of talking with them to help seeing this as an opportunity to correct a colleague to promote your values, good communication, and good relationship building to make your organization stronger. Your colleague will be thankful for you making the effort to embrace them versus disliking them and other colleagues will sense a good workplace culture and environment.
  3. When watching basketball, I hear announcers say and “a dagger” or “go for the jugular” to describe a three pointer or dunk. I’m glad there wasn’t “a dagger” and everyone’s “jugular” is in place. I would much rather hear it was an amazing high arching shot soft through the net or they are finishing or closing the game.
  4. Then, there is the “punch them in the mouth” or “we’ll kick your _ _ _.” Gratefully, there was no fist fight and no one was kicked. I would much rather hear win fun better outcomes the right way or what’s important is what we do and how we perform or play not what they do.

This usage of violent and malicious words and language is projecting itself into politics. Whether it’s during a presidential campaign or when politicians rally their base to “fight”. Some people take this literally being frustrated, have no emotional control, and cause societal violence. Why not instead rally them to “win fun better common outcomes” or “work together”?

These are just a few of the examples coming to my mind. My learning point is each example can be spruced with better words and better language making the description of the experience or situation more meaningful and pleasurable. It also becomes an educational teaching moment on people skills, realizing the essence of life, citizenship, and sportsmanship.

Unfortunately, these examples carry over into our kids lives as they watch t.v. and have social and educational experiences, situations, and play sports at school. The need for the use of better words and better language is a way to eschew conflict and violence in our kids school and during sporting events. The Bestie Boys lyrics “you missed two classes and no homework” “you gotta fight for your right to party”. Why not “you gotta only win fun better outcomes for your right to party?” Why are there fights at kids games by kids or adults? That’s non-sense! We don’t do that here.

By using better words and better language when describing an experience or situation you create good communication and good communication builds good relationships.

The following is my value graphic I use when helping and working together with an individual, group, or team to develop and make breakthroughs.

I’m always learning and apply the learning. Apply the use of better words and better language to see how civility and dignity by each person builds good communication, good relationships, and brings more civility locally, nationally, world wide, and globally.

Reflect on your experiences, situations, and sporting events. Could you have used better words, better language to create good communication and build good relationships to help and work together towards only win fun common better outcomes? Some win more, each wins, and no one loses unless there is violence.

What refulgent effect would this have in your family, with friends, in your workplace culture and in your environment? Would there be less stress, less anxiety, less yelling, less unhappiness, less loneliness, more civility, better outcomes, compassion, respect, helping and working together instead of denigrating and degrading your own or another person’s brain and mindset?

Apply the learning. This slight adjustment in our frame of mind I know and believe ignites peace over violence one on one, one by one.

To help you with mental health continuum in your organization. As a very strong mental health advocate this is my solution to learn how to make it easier. This is at home and in the workplace in addition to the right treatment (with or without medication) and/or the right therapy.

Solution:

Phrases: “I control emotion.”, “I don’t see that.” or “Don’t see that”, “I don’t hear that.” or “Don’t hear that”.

4.  Listen to the right people.

5. Listen to your body

6. Easier nutrition (no refined sugar, limit or no caffeine, 3-4 servings of fruit and veggies, 8 glasses of water, limit or no fried foods, limit or no alcohol, limit or no cheese, limit dessert, limit or no candy, limit or no late night eating)

7. Walk/Exercise and/or Run in a way towards your fitness goals without injury. Answer: What will be easier for you to do with you being fit?

By many “the zone” effect is described as everything is in slow motion, time stands still (isn’t a deterring factor), and your life and performance feels effortless.

My “The Zone” Effect:

Someone in leadership watched my videos in Atlanta and sent me a .doc file with questions after contacting me on Facebook.  I read the questions and it looked like they wanted to interview.  We scheduled a phone call and after building interpersonal honest dialogue towards better outcomes discussing and answering his questions he asked me to mentor him for my guidance.
